  • Overview

    Job Summary:

    The Agile Coach will work with Delivery Teams, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Enterprise Leaders and the Agile Management Office to assist with ongoing deployment of Agile practices across the Allegis Group IS department. The Agile Coach will work diligently as a change agent, creating an environment of continuous improvement, challenging the status quo, and developing a compelling case for change.  In fulfilling this role, the selected candidate will work directly leaders and teams to deliver training, coaching, and written documentation on Agile practices, tools, and techniques to support our goal of returning the highest possible value to our businesses.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Functions:

    • Coach leadership and the organization on Scaled Agile
    • Coach and train Scrum throughout the organization as the primary Agile framework
    • Act as champion and evangelist of Agile principles and values
    • Share the responsibility for expanding the understanding and practice of Agile practices principles throughout the entire IS organization
    • Keep current on new trends in Agile practices and supporting technology solutions
    • Collaborate directly with all levels of the organization to coach and guide them on the mechanics of Agile methods to achieve optimal team effectiveness
    • Deliver hands-on coaching of planning, self-organization, collaboration, iterative development
    • Work with the Agile Management Office to create and deliver methods, training, templates and tools designed to enhance Allegis' adoption of Agile approaches and the maximum return of value to our businesses
    • Work with delivery leadership to assist with the rollout and training of a scaled framework for all levels of the organization
    • Work with IS leadership and scrum teams to remove department and enterprise-wide systematic obstacles that block our ability to achieve sustainable increases in velocity and team efficiency

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education and/or Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related discipline, or combination of education and relevant experience
    • Certified Scrum Master
    • Certified Product Owner
    • 5-7+ years of hands on ScrumMaster and/or Product Owner Experience
    • 5+ years of hands-on Agile coaching experience in a scrum environment
    • 3+ years of hands-on coaching experience in a scaled environment
    • 7+ years of experience in an IT environment

    Skills/Abilities:

    • Thorough and deep knowledge of Agile principles and practices
    • Strong consulting and facilitation skills in leading technical teams in the adoption and improvement of Agile frameworks
    • Excellent training and presentation skills
    • Strong relationship building skills, with a demonstrated ability to work independently
    • Excellent listening and communication skills
    • Strong passion to provide instruction and mentoring
    • SAFe 4.5/4.6 certification required
    • SPC certification preferred
