The Allegis Corporate Services BI Developer will deliver analytical applications to the organization that include dashboards, reports and ad-hoc tools. The candidate will fill a strategic role and assist in the development of new technologies as needed within the newly established ACS Business Intelligence & Analytics department. This role will assist in the research, design and development of enterprise-wide systems and applications.
The ACS BI Developer will support the current production BI platform along with the development of new business intelligence capabilities, leveraging advanced data transformation and visualization tools. The BI Developer should be able to execute job responsibilities independently and with the understanding of how output would affect and impact other operational areas.
Work in collaboration with the organization to understand business issues, identify valuable areas of analysis and develop reports that analyze data warehouse information to support effective rapid decision making.
Design, develop, deploy and support dashboards deployed enterprise-wide using various tools including Tableau, Power BI, OBIEE, and SSRS.
Reconcile and manage data quality as necessary to resolve discrepancies and/or reconcile results. Utilize data to identify potential system issues.
Develop and deliver new and innovative reporting, analytics solutions, data transformation and management processes.
Develop and support QA processes for our BI solutions.
Maintains a working knowledge of new technologies and adopts suitable concepts for the organization.
Codes, tests and supports existing and new systems and applications.
Streamlines existing applications and systems to ensure integration and ease of use.
Develop rich interactive visualizations integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources.
Perform statistical analysis of large data sets to better understand trends, relationships between variables, and to formulate predictive insights.
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
Superior knowledge of Tableau and SQL and data visualization concepts
SQL database development: Azure, data warehousing, stored procedures, views, ETL experience preferred.
Must be able to analyze and understand business needs and requirements to translate to system specifications and deliverable solutions.
Experience working in an agile SCRUM environment (Version1 experience a plus).
Advanced knowledge of MS Office.
Must have strong technical, organizational level communication skills (both written and verbal).
Should be able to effectively identify test scenarios to assist with systems and user testing.
Ability to troubleshoot both code and data quality issues.
Ability to communicate project status, issues and resolutions with appropriate customers.
