  • Overview

    Within the Corporate Finance Department, the Compensation Program Manager will lead the ongoing design, execution and administration of Allegis compensation program globally. The Manager will act as an internal consultant and strategic business partner to the company and make recommendations regarding compensation to meet current and future business needs as well as to maintain market competitiveness. The Manager will ensure pay programs (and measurement) support the organization's strategic objectives and identify solutions and opportunities that leverage current industry trends and company standards. This role leads an analyst in conducting internal compensation reviews, measuring external competitiveness, and ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. The manager endeavors to align market practices and data, with internal pay philosophies, while supporting Human Resources, Finance and Sr. Leadership.


    Essential Functions:

    • Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures recommending plan revision as well as new plans that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives; coordinates implementation and provides guidance to corporate staff
    • Responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive salary structure
    • Plans, executes, and leads compensation projects, such as geographical and skill set differentials and changes in sales commissions structures
    • Promotes pay equity through strong analytical skills and knowledge of compensation theory, including market data
    • Advises Senior Leaders around alignment of internal pay philosophies and external market data, balancing financial stewardship with impact on workforce compensation competitiveness
    • Provides advice to corporate staff on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation, and job evaluation
    • Serves as point of escalation for complex compensation issues
    • Develops and documents compensation procedures to streamline processes
    • Partners with OpCo partners to support variable pay programs within the company
    • Manages the participation in, conducts and/or purchases exempt and nonexempt salary surveys to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved
    • Assures through audits, analysis, and reports that all organization compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with company policies and global, federal, state and local government regulations
    • Manages the relationship with vendors for the various compensation tools
    • Other duties, as assigned

    Supervisory or Management Responsibility:

    Responsible for the management and development of the Compensation Analyst


    Minimum Education and/or Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, human resources or related field
    • Compensation certification preferred
    • 3 to 5 years of progressive experience
    • Team Lead and/or Management experience
    • Knowledge of government regulations as they apply to compensation base and incentive compensation programs, company policies, and operations.


    • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in dealing with leadership at all levels
    • Experience in framing and collaboratively solving complex problems through quantitative and qualitative analyses with own team and cross-functional business partners.
    • Advanced knowledge of compensation tools and programs.
    • Advanced knowledge of job evaluation process and salary administration practices.
    • Advanced MS Excel experience.
    • Demonstrates project organization and management skills.
    • Ability to protect and maintain confidentiality of data.
    • Proven ability to build relationships with and influence all levels within an organization.
    • Detail-oriented and the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
    • Ability to take initiative and focus on results.
    • Ability to learn on the fly and deal with ambiguity
