Job Summary:

This 10-week summer internship is an opportunity for a rising third-year law student to experience first-hand how an in-house legal department operates.  The student will provide assistance to the Allegis Group Legal team for certain tasks and projects. The position is based in Hanover, MD with easy access to Baltimore, MD and the Washington, DC Metropolitan region.


Essential Functions:

  • Conduct legal research on employment law, workplace compliance research; and other detailed research projects, as needed;
  • Assist with various corporate transactional matters including, but not limited to:  reviewing contracts, the development of transactional templates and related training materials;
  • Assist with managing current legal and compliance matters which could include: corporate structure support; litigation support;
  • Assist with ongoing administration of the internal Compliance SharePoint site; and
  • Assist with ongoing matters that have international scope and impact.


Minimum Education and/or Experience:  

  • 2 years in accredited J.D. program
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize
  • Quick learner and willingness to ask questions
  • Able to work independently once provided guidance and/or instructions
  • Experience with MS Office (specifically PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
  • Experience with SharePoint and/or Adobe software is a plus
