Overview

The Platform Architect will be supporting and driving the Allegis Group enterprise-wide business & digital transformation initiative "EVOLVE". The Platform Architect is responsible for ensuring architecture designs implemented with the EVOLVE program adhere to and exceed architecture principles for modern SaaS/PaaS solutions. 

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and have HR responsibilities of the back office domain architects
  • End to End solution viability for a global HCM/ERP implementation
  • The assessment of business requirements leading to the approval of architectural designs for the overall end to end solution.
  • Functional knowledge across multiple value streams:

    Hire to Retire, Total Rewards, Procure to Pay, Tax, Treasury, & Record to Report
  • Works closely with Allegis Group, Oracle and SI's to ensure the integrity of design and alignment to future roadmaps.
  • Presenting solutions to the Allegis IS teams for review and alignment on end to end solutioning.
  • Technology solutions that require development to be viable and follow well known principles for design and build which are global in nature and scalable to Allegis Groups transactional volume.
  • The quality and integrity of a solution; and is ultimately responsible for its viability in the Production environment.
  • Drives near-term technical roadmap, and works with enterprise architects for 3-5 year end-to-end Evolve and back office  architecture roadmap
  • Provides thought leadership and technical guidance to minimize technical debt while balancing critical business deadlines / milestones
  • Optimizes software / licensing investments to increase business value of IS investments
  • Identifies new / innovative technologies to enable experiments for new capabilities and efficiencies
  • Understands all Enterprise Architecture roadmap initiatives that impact the Evolve program to the program architecture roadmap
  • Ensures all major architectural decisions and Delivery plans are properly communicated at ARB (Architecture Review Board)
  • Defines engineering/architectural/devops best practices to maximize development velocity, minimize technical debt/defects, and ensure program scalability
  • Foresees technical and business changes on the horizon that requires roadmap / architectural adjustments and can articulate the adjustment justification to business/IS leadership
  • Identifies technical / process efficiencies and continuously revises software/technology investments taking into account new products/services  (i.e. cloud/ML/AI)
  • Ensure platform solutions comply with standard architecture and development practices, align to internal integration patterns and practices, align to internal security and compliance needs, and adhere to enterprise architecture guiding principles

Qualifications

  • Expert with Oracle Fusion capabilities with proven track record for implementing and maintaining Back Office applications.
  • Expert with Oracle products such as Oracle Fusion, Oracle Integration Cloud, Fusion Analytics and Oracle Reporting tools.
  • Experience with Fusion modules including:
    • Oracle Fusion Time and Labor Cloud Service
    • Oracle Human Capital Management Base Cloud Service
    • Oracle Fusion Payroll Cloud Service for United States
    •  Oracle Fusion Payroll Service for Canada
    • Oracle Fusion Payroll Cloud Service for United Kingdom

  • Develops and provide inputs to necessary architectural strategies within EVOLVE.

  • Understanding of Oracle Platform as a Service including VBCS, BICC, ODI, Extensions, Oracle Object Storage
  • Applying understanding of API capabilities of the Oracle Fusion SaaS applications working closely with Enterprise integrations
  • Provides mentorship and knowledge transfer to EBS architects as needed.
  • Translates business problems into technical solutions and measures success in business terms. Models the pieces of infrastructure and their points of integration. Proves the feasibility of a design. Creates technical specifications and solution design documents. Gains buy-in on proposed solutions.
  • Applies architectural and engineering concepts to design a solution that meets operational requirements, such as scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, flexibility, availability, and manageability.
  • Keeps current and informed of EVOVLE related technologies and best practices and applies learnings into work products.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency in existing processes.
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related major or equivalent IS / business experience.
  • Relevant industry certifications
  • 10+ Years of experience designing, building, implementing and supporting large-scale enterprise solutions development efforts.
  • 10+ Years of experience with IT solutions in a diverse, global technical environment.
  • 10+ Years of experience leading a distributed team to meet service/operational level agreements.
  • 10+ Years of experience with business/user interaction.
  • 10+ Years of experience of coaching and mentoring less experienced staff.
  • 8+ Years of experience with project management practices.
  • Expert level of technical knowledge and understanding of architecture, application systems design and integration.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of industry's business environment and domain.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of industry's business environment and domain.
  • Speak the language of business - translate business problems into technical solutions and measure success using business terms.
  • Speak the language of architecture - frameworks, API-first architecture, microservices, patterns, maturity models, physical, logical, functional diagrams, use cases, etc.
