Job Summary:

 

Connected is a technology ecosystem of Sales, Recruiting, and Marketing products designed to support Allegis Group and its operating companies and empower employees, customers, and talent worldwide.  The Allegis IS (Information Services) team is looking for a Platform Architect (PA) for the Connected team.

 

The PA is a pivotal leadership role responsible for unifying business strategy, product vision, and technology to support cohesive user experiences at scale. Therefore, you must have considerable experience defining and implementing high-level architectures for critical enterprise business systems. The Platform Architect must thrive in a fast-paced, agile, product-driven environment.  You will lead a team of Domain Architects to define and enable platform strategy, build architectural runway, and provide clear direction to Product, Operating Company, and IS stakeholders regarding how to achieve business-critical outcomes.

 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

 

The PA is responsible for the end-to-end architecture of the Connected Platform, which includes the following duties:

  1. Mentor and lead a team of technical Domain Architects across business systems composing the platform
  2. Establish technology platform strategy and roadmap, and work with Enterprise Architecture to align to multi-year Enterprise Roadmap
  3. Ensure Reference Architecture documentation is maintained and accurate (e.g., Conceptual, Logical, Integration, Data)
  4. Ensure Enterprise Portfolio Management (LeanIX) reference data is maintained and accurate
  5. Identify innovative technologies or approaches to enable experimentation, new capabilities, or efficiencies
  6. Enable agile planning and delivery processes with thought leadership, consultative guidance, high-level estimation, and architecture support
  7. Advise platform solutions to ensure compliance with leading Architecture practices, Information Security/Compliance requirements, and adhere to enterprise standards.
  8. Document As-Is and To-Be Architecture solutions. Presents complex solution options and benefits to key Program, Product, and IS stakeholders.
  9. Understand Enterprise roadmap initiatives and their Platform dependencies to incorporate into Product / Program backlogs
  10. Ensure that high-level solution designs are reviewed and approved by the Architecture Review Board (ARB) when required
  11. Define Platform and Product standards to manage technical debt, reduce risk of service disruption, and ensure Platform availability and scalability.
  12. Anticipate technical and business changes on the horizon that require Platform roadmap / architecture adjustments, raising awareness and visibility to business and IS leadership.
  13. Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and continuous improvement to translate into technology investments

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

 

  • S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, related major or equivalent IS/IT experience
  • 10+ years of experience designing and supporting multiple large scale (e.g., enterprise-wide) products or applications
  • Experience working across diverse cultures and geographies in a mid-sized or large organization

Preferred/Optional:

  • 3-5 years management experience
  • Technical certifications (Salesforce Technical Architect (CTA), Salesforce Certified Platform Developer, SAFe for Architects, TOGAF, Zachman, ITIL Master, etc.)

  • Has expert-level technical knowledge and understanding of Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, and Integration practices across a broad array of technologies and cloud platforms (e.g, Salesforce, Snowflake, Object-Oriented Programming, MuleSoft, Heroku, Elasticsearch, Microsoft Azure, Google)
  • Behaves in accordance with objectives and strategic plans; provides strategic or conceptual advice to achieve business objectives.
  • Anticipates and solves unique and complex problems with broad business impact; uses conceptual thinking to propose high-level solutions and recommend process, product, and service improvements using industry and technology expertise
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to adjust messaging for leadership, technical and non-technical audiences

Salary Range:

  • The position is bonus eligible
  • Salary: 138,100-207,100
