Overview

Job Summary:

 

Connected is a multi-year strategic program to digitally transform Sales, Recruiting, Marketing, and Onboarding capabilities for Allegis Group and its Operating Companies. The Domain Architect is responsible for designing and delivering strategic Connected capabilities in Salesforce, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, business objectives, and compliance needs. This role requires deep technical and business expertise in Salesforce to define and maintain frameworks, standards, and principles while providing architectural leadership and hands-on guidance to development teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and enforce architectural standards, guardrails, and principles within Connected.
  • Provide big-picture thinking and problem-solving to guide analysis, architecture, and solution design.
  • Translate business requirements into well-architected Salesforce solutions, using declarative capabilities when feasible.
  • Collaborate with Architecture, Product, and UX teams to design experiments (including AI) and validate new solutions.
  • Estimate effort and assess technical feasibility to support prioritization and planning.
  • Present solution designs to Architecture teams and the Architecture Review Board for feedback and approval.
  • Architect scalable solutions across Sales/Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Data Cloud, and Agentforce, including large data volumes, performance optimization, and MuleSoft integrations.
  • Guide best practices for Apex, LWC, and Salesforce extensibility.
  • Deliver solutions from concept through production, ensuring quality, scalability, and operational viability.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentoring to developers.
  • Manage technology lifecycles and applications in LeanIX.
  • Engage with stakeholders to align technology with Coalition initiatives.
  • Contribute thought leadership by leveraging Salesforce innovation and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise, Platform, and other Domain Architects to ensure end-to-end solution integrity across regions.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Establish domain-specific standards and near/mid-term strategies (0–18 months) in alignment with Enterprise standards.
  • Define future-state technologies and architectures (18–60 months) and provide domain expertise to evolve Enterprise strategy.
  • Apply architectural principles to meet operational requirements such as scalability, maintainability, security, and reliability.
  • Lead and participate in R&D efforts (POCs, prototypes) with Product and UX to evaluate emerging technologies.
  • Provide technical input to support Agile planning, estimation, and resource allocation.
  • Lead solution architecture for high-impact products in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ensure adherence to Enterprise Architecture standards throughout the SDLC via design and code reviews.
  • Serve as technical owner and point of contact for domain solutions.
  • Coach and mentor team members in technical skills and architecture practices.
  • Support SLAs, performance measures, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Stay current on Salesforce and domain technologies, identifying opportunities to reduce technical debt and evolve toward future state.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

 

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related major or equivalent IS / business experience.
  • Multiple Salesforce.com certifications (Developer, Advanced Developer, Architect, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, etc.)
  • 5+ years’ experience with Salesforce development and architecture of Sales/Service Cloud, APIs, Lightning, and Apex.
  • 8-10 years of IS / business experience, more specifically programming, engineering, automation, and systems analysis.  Has a broad level of understanding in information systems (e.g. SOA, Master Data Management, Mobile).

Skills/Abilities:

  • Proven expertise in Salesforce architecture with delivery of enterprise-scale Sales/Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Data Cloud solutions.
  • Strong background in Apex, LWC, MuleSoft integration, and data management at scale.
  • Experience defining and governing standards, principles, and roadmaps within a domain.
  • Skilled in designing for security, compliance, performance, and large data volumes.
  • Strong communication skills, able to tailor messaging for technical, leadership and business audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, influence, and collaborate across teams.
  • Hands-on expertise in AI experimentation to accelerate outcomes.
  • Fosters a culture of innovation, reuse, and continuous improvement.
  • Identifies and develops reusable assets and accelerators.
  • Evaluates, recommends, and implements AppExchange and non-native platforms where appropriate.

Preferred/Optional:

  • Salesforce Lightning Design System / Lightning Web Components
  • GitHub, VS Code, Salesforce DX
  • MuleSoft integration experience
  • Familiarity with code quality and DevOps tools (e.g., SonarQube, Checkmarx)
  • CRM Analytics
  • Salesforce Shield
  • LeanIX or similar portfolio management tools
  • AppExchange products (e.g., Seismic, Gong)

Salary Range:
  • $119,000-$178,400
  • The position is bonus eligible

Office Requirements:

  • Required in office 2 days a week out of our headquarters in Hanover, MD or offices in Jacksonville, FL
