Overview

Job Summary:

 

The Communications Lead plays a key role in supporting organizational change by developing and delivering clear, consistent, and strategic communications for both internal and external audiences. This role partners closely with the Change Management team, project leaders, and cross functional stakeholders to translate complex initiatives into engaging, audience appropriate messaging. The Communications Lead oversees communication planning, content creation, and channel strategy to ensure employees, partners, and external stakeholders understand upcoming changes, their impacts, and the actions required. They also monitor communication effectiveness, identify opportunities to improve clarity and engagement, and help maintain alignment across all touchpoints throughout the change lifecycle. As a member of the Organizational Change Management team, the Communications Lead reports to the Change Manager Lead and serves as a partner to OpCo communications teams and executive leadership (VP and above), providing support, feedback, and guidance on key communication initiatives. To be successful in the role, the Communications Lead needs to demonstrate the following attributes:

In-Office Requirement:

 

• Required in-office presence at least 4 days per week at one of the corporate office locations in Tempe, AZ , Hanover, MD or Jacksonville, FL.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

 

• Create, execute and provide oversight of a communication strategy aligned with Allegis Group’s business transformation efforts and consistent with overall company strategy and priorities.
• Develop message sets aligned to the business transformation as well as overall company strategy in addition to developing communication collateral, including presentations, talking points, emails, etc. to achieve specific objectives.
• Develop and deliver both internal and external communication campaigns that clearly illustrate key accomplishments and value created through business transformation efforts.
• Deliver engaging presentations to senior executives to communicate progress, insights, and recommendations, and provide ongoing feedback and counsel on employee engagement with the business transformation strategy, morale, and communication effectiveness.
• Develop leader toolkits and resources to support effective communication and implementation of business transformation initiatives.
• Act as a communication advisor to multiple senior leaders.
• Act as a functional center of excellence - partnering with leaders to create, execute and manage communication strategies, messages and planning that drive the company strategy; be prepared to highlight the risks and benefits associated with proposed strategies and tactical responses.
• Lead change communication efforts for key strategic initiatives.
• Influence and lead others with strong credibility to drive quick, effective decision-making.
• Advise leaders on organizational change initiatives and design.
• Take a lead role in managing crisis communications and critical issues response both internally and externally.
• Execute supervisory responsibilities of direct reports (if applicable), inclusive of interviewing; hiring; development; planning; reviewing and assigning work; appraising and managing performance; and rewarding employees.
• Manage communication channels, including feedback loops and communication vehicle portfolio.
• Maximize employee engagement and productivity through effective leadership and organizational communication.
• Partner with Operating Company communication teams to understand their strategic agendas, plans and calendars and to ensure alignment relative to company-wide messages.
• Develop relationships with Operating Company communication teams, fostering cross-company collaboration.

 

Supervisory or Management Responsibility:

 

Provides direct management and coaching of change management direct reports.

 

Budget Responsibility:

 

Coordinate with Change Manager Lead to ensure any costs are in line with budget allocations

Qualifications

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

 

• Bachelor’s degree; communication-related major preferred
• Minimum 5-7 years of related work experience specifically advising senior leaders in the areas of strategic communication

 

Skills/Abilities:

 

• Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment, handle internal clients with tact and diplomacy, and maintain composure and production quality under deadline pressure
• Experience partnering with senior-level executives on communication initiatives, including town halls, meetings and events preparation
• Strong client service orientation with the ability to anticipate stakeholder needs, respond with professionalism, and build trust across diverse groups
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
• Technology savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to understand, retain, and synthesize complex business information and effectively communicate key messages to and on behalf of all levels of business management and staff
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment that values creativity, self-motivation, candor, reliability and accountability

Salary Range:

 

$86,300 - $129,500

 

The position is bonus eligible

 

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
